Horse Racing Market Movers Monitoring Service – Steamers & Drifters

September 13th, 2011

Horse Racing Market Movers Monitoring Service

JustStartHere is our horse racing price monitoring service. It records and displays prices from betting exchanges at key times leading up to the start of every UK and Irish horse race and identifies which horses are steamers and which are drifters in the betting market. Here’s what one of our subscribers had to say about it recently:

“I have been caught out so many times in the past as a result of people’s opinion, which is why I have become a great believer in collective intelligence and the power of the mass market.  Your service is the best I have ever used. I use it every day as part of my market strategy and am very impressed and pleased with it.”

- Yan

Recently we’ve introduced the JustStartHere star rating system. This identifies which horses we think should be backed/dutched etc. based on weight of money movement. The stars appear on the upcoming races page once the 1 minute prices are in. Backing every 5 star horse with odds of 35 or less in August would have returned a profit of 103 points (based on Betfair 1 minute prices). Please email us if you would like us to send you a copy of the report (info@juststarthere.com).

How Have Our Free Horse Racing Tips Fared Recently?

August 23rd, 2011

This month we’ve spent some time analysing the Cherry Picks top-rated results and have made some interesting discoveries. We looked at race distance and found that ignoring the more unpredictable longer races would have returned an extra 60.11 points:

Cherry Picks Race Distance Analysis

We also looked at how the results fared on different days of the week. Unsurprisingly, Saturday came out on top and Monday and Sunday came bottom. Clearly the quality of racing has a big impact on results:

Cherry Picks Day Of The Week Analysis

All in all, ignoring longer races and not betting on Mondays and Sundays would have boosted the top-rated points return by 110.73 points. Have you spotted any patterns that have helped boost the profitability of your own use of the ratings?

We took the time to analyse how race type affected results over these 12 days:

Race Type Analysis

We also looked at how the number of runners in each race impacted on results:

Number Of Runners Analysis

Interestingly the back returns were much better for races with 12 or less runners but the place returns were better for races with 13 or more runners. This suggests that the higher odds you get for a horse placing in a race with a larger field make a big difference.

Thursday 4th August 2011

“I just wanted to say what a great service the free horse rating service is. It’s by far the most profitable system I have followed, and I’ve followed a few! I’ve quintupled my bank since starting on 1st June 2011! My only request is that you don’t stop the service!”

- Andrew

“Many congratulations for last Saturday’s Picks… What fantastic tips – I made an excellent profit thanks to your service. THANKS ONCE AGAIN.”

- Mel

“Just to let you know how much I am continuing to appreciate your service – the availability of the selections via JustStartHere in Excel is a very useful bonus.”

- Breon

“Great day yesterday – keep up the good work. Top tips.”

- Neil

“Paying the £6 a month at least lets me feel I am paying my way in part for the amazing Cherry Picks daily ratings – a 40/1 shot a week last Friday plus a very profitable week thereafter is an extraordinary performance by any standards. Getting the data into a database from a CSV is a big plus which I shall take advantage of.”

- Paul

“I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU for a great service – your picks are the best!”

- John

“AWESOME results today! :)

- Brian

“Are you guys fortune tellers or what? You made my day this Saturday with 12 top rated winners. If this is a sample of what you do then I’m in.”

- Andy

“Amazing day today. I’m fast running out of superlatives (as I’m sure everyone following is). We are very lucky to be part of this.”

- Paul

“I must congratulate you and your colleagues for the excellent service provided.”

- John

Thank you to everyone who got in contact – it’s great to hear that so many people are enjoying the service. Long may it continue!
